Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your expertise in medical terminology, coding, and billing systems will be essential in maintaining efficient operations within our medical office. We are looking for someone who's an expert in AdvancedMD, this is a must.

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services

- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10, and DRG coding systems to ensure compliance with industry standards

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail

- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, identifying and resolving billing discrepancies

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for claim submission

- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

- Process payments from insurance companies and patients, applying appropriate adjustments as needed

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and concerns

- Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to medical billing

Requirements:

- 5 or more years expertience in AdvancedMD

- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role

- Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding principles, and billing procedures

- Proficiency in using medical billing software/systems

- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems

- Familiarity with medical collection practices and insurance guidelines

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
