Phillips Pet Food & Supplies is Hiring a Territory Sales Manager Near Atlanta, GA

Position Summary: Achieve volume and category sales objectives through the assigned accounts within the territory. Effectively manage the accounts to improve sales, profitability, and relationships with Phillip's retail partners and vendor partners. This candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel and be able to generate new sales leads on a regular basis. The candidate should be able to keep track of their sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field. We are looking for someone to be based in the region listed below: This region will cover the Atlanta market (Parts of SC and Western NC) Responsibilities:Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.Educate clients and attend trade shows to conduct product demonstrations.Generate potential leads for future sales.Set and exceed quotas.Track and report sales in an organized mannerCommunicate effectively with other members of the team.Key Competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities that every person in this position must possess in order to be successful)• Planning: A strong ability to strategically plan, both short and long-term• Prioritizing: the ability to effectively organize and manage multiple activities• Excellent negotiation and communication skills• Ability to create reports; write business correspondence and procedure manuals.• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of internal team members, clients, and customers• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment• Ability to work under pressure with time constraints• Understand purchasing, inventory, product, and process flow throughout departments Position Requirements: • Associate degree from an accredited college• 3-5 years of sales experience in the Pet Industry preferred• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook• Ability to leverage computerized systems and spreadsheets to measure and analyze efficiencies• Must have a valid driver’s license; reside in assigned territory with auto and current auto insurance• Travel within assigned territory; up to possibly 50% overnight travel may be requiredINDPPFS
