THE ROLE

This is an entry level Human Resource Generalist position. This person will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding, benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implements new hire orientation
  • Conducts background checks and reference checks.
  • Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews.
  • Support UK Payroll Manager with US tax and payroll duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Particularly advanced in Excel
  • ADP products, Run specifically, is a plus
  • Understanding of tax/wage laws and processes of multi-states is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and at least two years of human resources and payroll experience
  • Associates degree plus 1-year human resources and payroll experience
