Description
Job Purpose
In partnership with Perspectives Human Resources department and school hiring managers the Recruitment & Retention Specialist (RRS) is responsible for staffing Perspectives five campuses with quality teachers. In addition, developing and maintaining a pool of readily accessible candidates through active sourcing, job fairs, and other initiatives. The RRS will also assist with COVID-19 tracking when deemed necessary.
Essential Functions
Sourcing & Selection
  • Identifies and implements efficient recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, and needs of Perspectives.
  • Manages actives job boards by posting positions, refreshing, and closing
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
Recruitment and Retention
  • Develop and maintain readily accessible candidate pipeline through active sourcing, job fairs and other initiatives.
  • Create and implement teacher recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Support hiring managers with the recruitment process
COVID-19 Tracking
  • Assist Human Resources team with the collection and recording of COVID-19 tests and vaccination records.
  • Call contacts of newly diagnosed cases
  • Provide contacts with Perspectives COVID-19 guidelines and employee assistance program
  • All other duties assigned

  • Support and maintain employee engagement programs and initiatives that support Perspectives goals and culture of A Disciplined Life.
  • Develop and communicate positive employee retention strategies and retention initiatives that foster and promote a positive community

Qualifications
  • 1 - 2 years of recruitment experience in education or related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word; Paycom ATS is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
  • This job operates in a school setting and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may require additional hours outside of the times listed above and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.
Travel
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area travel may be expected
