Persistent Systems is seeking a Vice President of Business Operations to join our team in our NYC headquarters. As Vice President of Business Operations, you will be a critical member of the Persistent Systems leadership team, responsible for Business Operations and Strategic Growth. We are seeking an individual who will sit on-site in the New York City office and lead the matrixed business operations groups within the organization at all levels and disciplines to drive organizational effectiveness and revenue. This position will provide critical leadership and support to all functional business areas across the organization. The Vice President of Business Operations will provide the foundation for team effectiveness by creating, maintaining, and optimizing organizational processes and apply training and coaching effectively for individual and team development required to support a growing business.

Position Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the Finance and Accounting team, Sales Operations team, Manufacturing and Logistics Operations team, IT team, FSO and facilities team, and HR team to discuss KPIs, key action items, and strategic long-term planning.
• Work closely with the Finance and Accounting team to review regular reporting items, provide direction and feedback and prepare for leadership reporting
• Work with the compliance team to ensure company is meeting the requirements for export, government contracts, and other required areas
• Work with the Sales Operations team, along with Manufacturing and Logistics Operations team to ensure KPI’s are being met in terms of order acceptance, customer satisfaction, and on time delivery.
• Work with IT team to ensure company’s infrastructure is secure and scalable.
• Work with FSO and facilities team to ensure company is maintain high security and facility standards
• Work cross functionally with HR team to ensure company is prepared for growth and ahead of policy changes
• Develop priorities and work with Internal Improvement team to support company compliance and growth
• Provide support and guidance to leadership team in terms of areas of opportunity and risk across the business operations team
• Review and approve executive briefings
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by executive leadership

Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, or Engineering required
• 10 years of experience in business and sales operations, government contracts acquisition and operational management
• 10 years in a team leadership role with cross-functional teams, demonstrated by experience in developing and executing performance goals, providing feedback and coaching, and building and maintaining high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve breakthrough results through the course of work
• Thrive in uncertain, rapidly changing environments
• Strong team leadership, communication and management skills that has resulted in a demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and maintain high performing teams
• Deep-rooted understanding and experience with accounting systems, ERP, Salesforce, as well as integrations and business tools
• Highly organized, and adept at prioritizing (time management, managing multiple projects) with proactive sense of urgency
• High level of personal drive, self-motivated and passionate
• High level of empathy, situational awareness,
• Collaborative with a creative, strategic and effective approach
• Applicant must have the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, or Engineering
• Experience with wireless concepts. For example, Experience with wireless concepts such as MANET, Mesh network with an understanding of hardware and software concepts, as well as how they apply to government and commercial applications.
• Experience working with customer organizations such as large sized Government entities
• Experience working with mid-size or larger commercial organizations
• Experience with managing sales operations across multiple locations, with increasing responsibility
• Six Sigma Certification (Green-Black Belt)
• DoD Information Operations and Cyber Security experience
• Possess an active Secret US Security Clearance

The base pay for this role can vary from $220,000 to $275,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
