JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Production Supervisor monitors and supervises all related areas of the Production department as assigned by the Supervisor.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Responsible for and may be called on to perform any or all duties assigned to lead persons by the company
• In charge of performing supervisory duties as assigned by the Supervisor
• Responsible for assuming and performing all supervisory duties as designated by the company, in the absence of the supervisor

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Frequent to constant standing, walking
• Occasional to frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling climbing
• Occasional carrying of product from 5 pounds to 50 pounds
• Occasional to frequent repetitive hand motions (i.e., writing)
• High degree of pressure to meet production schedules
• Constant exposure top product fumes such as onions, peppers, etc.
• Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine etc.
• Constant exposure to varying degrees of temperature 45 degrees or less
• Work overtime as required
• Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience required
• Possess verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in fresh produce and production environment
• Must have own transportation
• Must have a working knowledge of English language
• Basic Mathematical abilities
• Ability to interact across departments
• Ability to train staff on safety requirement and enforce safety requirements
• Day shift schedule
• Weekend availability
