Intern Part Time Accounting Finance

Perfetto Contracting Co Inc is seeking an Accounting/Finance & HR/Payroll Intern. The Intern will have the opportunity for professional growth and development. You will gain experience and learn essential industry skills by assisting our team with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and other projects for clients. You will help ensure our records are consistent with all submitted financial statements. As an Intern, you will also post journal entries to the general ledger and perform administrative duties, such as data entry and filing. This role is open to students currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and are available to work at least 25 hours per week. No experience is necessary, but you must be proficient with basic computer programs and willing to learn. This position will also allow you to gain valuable experience in the areas of general Human Resources and Payroll. This is a?paid internship. The position requires the Intern to work up to 40 hours per week Monday Friday and offers some flexibility with hours. Applicants must be a current student seeking to continue their education while gaining valuable real-world experience.

The Intern will have an opportunity to:

• Support the Accounting/Finance and HR Teams by assisting with contract review, pre-employment and onboarding process for new hires, weekly payroll and prepare invoice and expense reports
• Analyze financial data
• Perform research for budgeting and financial forecasting
• Provide support with employee engagement and employee relations activities
• Check financial documents and journal entries for accuracy
• File documents
• Create and maintain various training materials, standard work documents, process & user guides where needed
• Other administrative support as needed

Accounting Intern Requirements and Qualifications:

• Active enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
• Interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
• The ability to be discreet when handling sensitive financial information
• A willingness to learn
• Detail-oriented
• Analytical skills

Job Setting & Physical Demands:

Work will primarily be indoors at our corporate office. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment. Fluency in the English language and the ability to see, speak, hear, read, and write are required.

Salary:

$20/hr-$23/hr
