Perfection Group is Hiring a Business Development Executive - Green Solutions Near Knoxville, TN

Perfection Group is searching for a Green Solutions Business Development Executive to support our Green Solutions team in Tennessee.
About The Role
A Green Solutions Business Development Executive (GBDE) here at Perfection Group is a highly qualified and proven sales professional in business-to-business sales. A strong candidate for this role will have previous experience in the Facilities Services and/or Mechanical Services industries.
An GBDE should have a minimum 3-5 years' with a history of over plan sales performance.
Various Responsibilities of This Role Include:
  • To identify prospective customers in the MUSH (municipals, universities, schools, hospitals) Markets.
  • To fully qualify prospective customers at the “C” level and board of director’s level.
  • To perform a comprehensive needs analysis.
  • To develop financial analysis and justification.
  • Manage complex selling processes in a bundled solution approach.
  • Must have the ability to interact at all levels of an organization (executive, management, and maintenance) and administrative.
  • Deliver high quality presentations to individuals and decision-making customers and/or boards.
  • Close high volume of profitable business with an anticipated long selling cycle.
The Expectations for A GBDE Include the Following Capabilities:
  • Must be capable of developing business with a variety of business strategies. Complex bundled offerings include a wide variety of ever changing ECM’s (Energy Conservation Measures), with traditional maintenance services and design build offerings.
  • Must have a high level of competence in financial selling and must fully understand Perfection’s diverse service offerings. A GBDE must also be able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • A GBDE is expected to develop and implement long-term customer relationships at the strategic level to meet Perfection Group’s growth goals.
  • The GBDE will be assigned to our Tennessee territory but may participate across the company divisions and territory alignment.
  • Must have a firm understanding of all Perfection sales offerings, including Performance Contracting, Base Business, Energy Retrofits, Construction, Facility Services, and a desire to seek new opportunities for Perfection Group.
  • An GBDE will manage target accounts and generate business opportunities with current customers and new prospects assigned by the executive management team.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to sell in a “TEAM” environment.
  • When needed for complex opportunities, the GBDE will be supported by our Green Business Development Team, Green Operations, Engineering, and Executive Leadership Teams.
  • A GBDE must have the ability to lead a target job team.
  • The GBDE is a facility solutions provider capable of providing enhanced offerings with total financial justification.
  • The GBDE should understand that while traditional business hours of operation are normal, often times it is required to meet potential and existing customers in after hours situations such as evening council, board, or commission meetings.
This is a position that includes a complete understanding of all:
  • Perfection customer solutions.
  • Complete financial understanding of bundled offerings.
  • Ability to provide creative financial packages and to understand financial options.
  • Ability to provide cost of operations, energy retrofits, cash flow analysis with every offering.
  • Competence in the understanding of utility and operational costs.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills to be used in C Level presentations.
  • A very positive attitude and desire to work with great people and customers.
Experience, Educational Requirements and Certifications
  • 2 – 5 years of outside business development experience with a proven track record.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Certifications such as LEED, CEM (Certified Energy Manager), EA (Energy Auditor) or REP (Renewable Energy Professional) will be considered.
