Peraton is looking to add a Applications Systems Architect to our team of talented professionals.

What you'll do:

Performs independent high-level design of enterprise application systems.
• Establishes the basic structure of the system, defines essential core design features and elements that provide the framework.
• Works with systems users in the identification and resolution of user problems and concerns for complex projects.
• Performs cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components. Generates a set of acceptance test requirements for complex systems, together with the designers, test engineers, and the user to determine that all the high-level requirements have been met, especially for the computer-human-interface.
• May participate in business development activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
• 15 years' J2E application and software development
• Detailed working knowledge of linux system administration, including filesystems, permissions, package management, and installation
• 10 years' big data warehouse administration
• Big Data migration from Hadoop to cloud-native warehouses
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience
• JIRA and Confluence experience
• Excellent communication, project planning, and team management skills
