Pequenin Children Multicultural Readiness Academy is Hiring a Teacher Near Hartford, CT
The main responsibility of a Teacher is to demonstrate good teaching practices, maintain the security and safety of the children, and implement an educational program that is developmentally appropriate and congruent with the academy?s philosophy.
Duties
- Weekly preparation and implementation of daily activities to be posted in each classroom. Prepare end implement lesson plans that address all developmental areas.
- Post and follow daily schedule appropriate for the age group of children.
- Guide children through the daily routines.
- Record Keeping and observation of each child.
- Create and frequently alter learning centers to keep them attractive and interesting.
- Assure that all practices and activities are in compliance with the licensing discipline policy.
- Reports any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the director.
- Participate in staff development and professional activities with consideration.
- Promotion of parent involvement including center newsletter, conferences, and parent meetings.
- Actively encourage parents to be part of center activities and include parents in considering classroom plans.
- Communicate regularly with parents in both written and oral form.
- Willingness to be flexible to perform other job-related tasks as the need arises to maintain a quality program.
This is a full-time position. Successful applicants must hold an Associate or bachelor?s degree in ECE (or a non-ECE field) with 12 credits in Early Childhood Education and be bilingual (English, Spanish, or Portuguese ).

1 year of experience working with toddlers or preschoolers. Being bilingual is a plus. (English, Spanish, or Portuguese ).
