Collaborate closely with the Director and Career Center team members to plan, promote, and execute Career Center events and programs tailored for students, alumni, and recruiters. Contribute to an inclusive and dynamic environment within the Career Center, instilling in students a proactive mindset towards their career development journey. Cultivate partnerships with recruiters to facilitate employment opportunities for Seaver students and alumni, while staying attuned to evolving industry needs and trends. Serve as a positive representative of the Career Center and University, embodying its values and mission while working with recruiters, alumni, parents, and vendors and nurturing relationships that enhance opportunities for the community.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree - Prior event planning and marketing experience for diverse constituents with proven success.
Excellent customer service skills and comfort with interacting professionally and effectively with students, University personnel, recruiters, and the public. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including telephone, face-to-face, and business writing with proofreading and basic editing skills. Demonstrated knowledge of engaging marketing strategies including experience with designing and implementing effective advertising and marketing materials. Excellent organizational and coordination skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, efficiently, and effectively. Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the student recruitment and employer engagement process. Ability to work independently, as a part of a team, and ability to establish work priorities. Ability to establish and maintain an events budget successfully. Ability to work at a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time and ability to bend and lift light loads (e.g. small boxes of materials or supplies). Ability to work some nights and weekends as required. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive/Docs, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and confidence using cloud-based Internet tools and information systems; comfortable using data management systems and incorporating technology to add value to events and employer and student services.
Preferred: Minimum 1-2 years working with events, marketing, recruitment, or employers preferred. Career Services experience a plus. Graphic design, engaging writing/messaging, and social media marketing experience preferred. Familiarity with Handshake or other career management systems, Canva, and social media preferred.
Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Range: $25.96 - $28.84 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
