This position participates in construction on campus by performing the following essential functions.- HVAC and Electrical or Plumbing.- Construction, installation, inspection, and repair of plumbing fixtures and service lines and performing HVAC related tasks.- Electrical work.- Demolition of existing interior structures.- Inspecting, repairing or replacing window hardware and locking mechanisms, window blinds and shades.- Inspecting, repairing, or replacing ceiling tile, floor tile and window screens.- Construction of interior walls, floors, windows, doors, and ceilings.- Lay tile, brick, cinder block and stone to construct floors, walls and partitions.- Inspecting, repairing, and re-painting walls and wall board.Employees will be responsible for performing skilled tasks in accordance with standard trades practices. Work involves independent judgment and various degrees of specialization depending on the location of assignment. Employees receive oral or written instructions, which are frequently accompanied by sketches and/or blueprints.Tuition Waiver Benefits are available.The shift available for this position is 3pm-11pm.
