SUMMARY:

The Event Sales Supervisor will assist in local lead generation efforts that deliver on our overall business goals. This role will work closely with the Replacement Sales Manager to promote the brand, services, and products of Pella via marketing programs and events targeting our Builder, Architect, Contractor, and Homeowner customers throughout our region.

In this role, you will need to split your time between the office and travel to various events, home shows, and event locations. This dynamic role is tasked with motivating and developing a team of brand promoters through performance analysis, on-site coaching, and in-office training. This position requires the ability to create team goals and action plans, analyze key performance data, develop team performance, and assist in department growth. Travel needed in and around The Treasure Valley.

This role will require an individual who is self-motivated, outgoing, and enjoys meeting and working with people.

Principal DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, but not limited to):

  • Represent Pella’s Replacement Division at home shows and other events as needed.
  • Manage contract negotiations and meet event participation deadlines.
  • Event set-up and teardown as needed.
  • Oversee and manage home show and event inventory and booth assets.
  • Research, recommend, and contract with new events and other business avenues to grow the department based on long-term goals.
  • Interview, hire, train, and manage a team of brand promoters.
  • Lead new-hire training classes.
  • Conduct individual and group training sessions.
  • Visit team members in the field to offer support and coaching opportunities.
  • Motivate and coach brand promoters on specific methodologies and performance metrics.
  • Create weekly and monthly plans and performance goals.
  • Track, measure, and report standard metrics across Event Marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for department growth and performance.
  • General administrative tasks as needed to support team objectives and goals.

Education and/or Experience

2 years of trade/home show or event marketing experience. Experience building, training, and coaching teams in group and one-on-one settings. Familiarity with business prospecting (preferred).

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software applications.

Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good public relations, and customer service skills. Exceptional attention to detail.

· Must be pro-active, self-disciplined, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completion.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel, especially with use of the phone and computer. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear, especially in use of the telephone and meetings. The employee occasionally is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Work environment with this job includes the typical office environment and frequent travel throughout The Treasure Valley. Must have the ability to work standard retail hours, including evenings and weekends.

The noise level of this job is typically moderate.

Miscellaneous

The Event Sales Supervisor must have their own, fully insured, and functional automobile and must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
