Position Overview:

Perform diagnostics and repairs on Pella products (windows and doors) while continually striving for 100% “Very Satisfied” customers.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Implementing the service procedures in place
• Perform diagnostics, installation and repairs of Pella Products
• Meet customer service standards
• Carry out daily operations of the customer service team
• Respect customer property
• Be in communication with your service manager
• Must take care of company property – treat your tools like you own
• Take pride in the work you do
• Professionaly handle on the job questions or complaints from customers, always striving for 100% “Very Satsified” customers.
• Analyze relevant data to determine customer service outputs
• Identify and work with the Service Manager to implement strategies to improve quality of service and productivity

Education and/or Experience

Must have a High School Diploma or GED, AA or Technical degree preferred, 1-3 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and /or window and door applications or components is required. Individual’s motor vehicle record must also comply with company requirements. 

Language and Communication Skills

Ability to read and analyze documents related to contracts and work documents. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to verbally present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and the general public.

Professional Skills

Must present a clean and neat physical appearance and strictly abide by company dress code serving as a role model for other employees, customer and visitors.

Reasoning Abilities

Ability to solve practical and arithmetic problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move up to 100lbs on a regular basis. They must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as well as be comfortable with heights. Many installations require ladder or scaffolding. Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, and ability to adjust focus to read written company forms, correspondence, policies, brochurs and other documents regarding a service repair job.

Compensation

Starting Wage is $20-25/Hour based on experience. Pella Gatewy offers a competative benefit package with paid time off, sick pay, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and lift insurance policies as well as retirement match.

Travel

The vast majority of travel will be local with rare overnight trips. Overnight trips will be approved by the service technician before it is scheduled.
