Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls is looking for a General Motors Service Technician to join our team. This person needs to be self-motivated and able to take a job from start to finish. We invest heavily in our technicians through training and certifications. We require a two-year technical school degree. You must have a valid driver's license, be 18 years of age and have your own tools. We would like the opportunity to discuss a career path for you with our dealership.

 Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

• Follow proper road test and diagnostic procedures
• Communicate with parts department and service advisor
• Maintain working knowledge of current industry best practice in automotive repair
• Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ concerns and provide accurate repair recommendations
• Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and facility records
• Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

Experienced Automotive Technician Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• ASE certification a plus
• Willingness to participate in in-house training
• Ability to
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
• Strong Automotive knowledge
• Maintains sufficient personally owned tools in good working order
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
