Our company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic, growing team at Pelham Place Apartments!

The Maintenance Technician will work with our talented maintenance team to handle the day-to-day maintenance of our multi-family apartment community.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Complete turn-over process of vacant apartments as directed.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
• Coordinate special projects as directed.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
• Complete grounds work as directed which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas.
• Responsible for alerting Management of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has or may occur.
• Accountable for adhering to safety standards in compliance with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
• Must have reliable transportation and your own tools.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Extensive plumbing experience with old fixtures/drain lines (cast iron drains/galvanized drains)
• Soldering experience
• Boiler experience (recirculating pump, sump pumps, boiler timers)
• Working knowledge of with electrical, dry wall, minor carpentry, appliance repair, and painting
• 2 years of related experience in a multi-family apartment community

All employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and must be able to interface with our residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees in a courteous manner. Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays when necessary and to cover on-call emergencies.

This position requires occasional lifting of 50-100 lbs. and frequent lifting of 10-50 lbs.
