Job Summary: The environmental services manager will provide supervision and direction for continuous improvement within the operation of the Environmental Services department (EVS). The position will provide staff with daily leadership and will make sound business decisions in support of the company’s mission and vision. Continually promote safety, service, and value to provide an optimal environment for medical staff to give quality patient care. Manges the day-to-day operations of the department and ensures a consistently high level of cleanliness and aesthetics to patients, visitors, and staff.
Job Duties:
· Completes inspections of all assigned areas to make certain the highest standards of quality assurance control are being met
· Perform any duty required of the Environmental Services Department
· Develop and present training of new and existing employees on new equipment, products, and cleaning methods
· Supervises all EVS team members, including assigning daily work responsibilities
· Trains team members in performance of duties
· Manages housekeeping and laundry services to monitor quality to perform optimal services in an efficient and effective manner
· Maintain EVS team members schedule
· Facilitate EVS team meetings; as needed
· Provides strong supervisory, management, leadership, and coaching skills for EVS team members
· Maintains a current and ongoing knowledge of Long-Term Care guidelines and regulations related to Environmental Services
Requirements:
· Three years of work experience
· High School Degree or GED equivalent
· At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
· Preferred: at least 1 year of Long-Term Care facility experience
· Positive, caring, and customer-service-oriented attitude
