Job Description For Environmental Services Housekeeping Aide

We are a long-term care facility that takes care of children with severe developmental and medical complex needs. We are champions for our residents who collaboratively work to create and maintain the quality of life for our residents by fostering a safe and clean environment. This is a full-time position that is under the direct report of the Environmental Services Supervisor. The primary focus and responsibilities of this position are to keep the laundry of Pediatric Complex Care in good clean condition while ensuring the safety and welfare of PCCA’s residents.

Responsibilities for Environmental Services Housekeeping Aide - 6AM-2:30 PM

• Empty all waste baskets, as needed
• Sweep and mop floors, as needed
• Clean and vacuum carpets, as needed
• Keep bathrooms and restrooms clean, (This includes tubs, tub chairs, showers, shower chairs)
• Maintain soap dispensers, towel dispensers, and lotion dispensers
• Keep break areas clean
• Clean and dust windows and blinds as needed
• Clean tables and floors in dining room areas after each meal
• Clean and dust base boards and windowsills as needed
• Report any repairs needed to supervisor
• Practice good aseptic techniques and hand washing
• Other duties as assigned
• Mop floors
• Sweep floors and empty trash cans in the work area

Qualifications for Environmental Services Housekeeping Aide

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to accurately and effectively communicate with management and employees both verbally and in writing

Educations and Experiences

High School Diploma or Equivalent

1 year of housekeeping experience preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to bend, reach, push, stoop, walk, lift, and stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently

Work Environment

Fast-paced and positive

Moderate to loud noise levels

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
