Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas is Hiring a Patient Care Technician Near North Little Rock, AR

Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas is an intermediate care facility for children with complex medical needs.

PCCA offers competitive pay rates. Rates starting at 15/hr with no prior experience.

Qualifications:

· High school graduate preferred

· Must be a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in the state of Arkansas

Summary:

The PCT/CNA/MA work with our multi-disciplinary team to provide hands-on care, and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. Provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner; and is responsible to perform the following according to company mission, policies, procedures and individualized resident care plans:

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for delivering individualized, personal care to their residents while meeting their physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

· Observes, reports, and objectively documents symptoms and change of conditions/behaviors in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as directed by your supervisors. Must be able to document in computer program.

· Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health. Performs job duties in accordance with best practices and resident’s plan of care.

· Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.

· Actively participates/leads and assists residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.

·Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking, using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.

·Implements specific approaches for behaviors; provides emotional support and redirects residents who are demonstrating inappropriate actions.

· Engages residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.

· Conducts self in a professional manner and in compliance with facility policies.

· Promotes positive interactions with internal and external customers, visitors, residents, and team members.

· Provides excellent customer service that supports resident care.

· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day performing such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, and to perform light physical work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on an occasional basis. Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing. Carries out detailed written or verbal instructions. Must be capable of functioning independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, their families and personnel.

Safety sensitive position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
