Respite Worker

Duties:
- Provide in-home direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities

-May take clients in the community for fun activities, if requested by family
- May assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Follow individualized care plans and implement appropriate strategies for each individual
- Promote and respect resident rights and dignity at all times
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and engage individuals in meaningful activities

Skills:
- Experience in home care or assisted living settings preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care principles
- Familiarity with assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ability to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong patient care skills and ability to respond to medical emergencies if necessary
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing quality care
