Pearl Health is Hiring a Remote Director, Demand Generation

Who we are. . .

Pearl Health is restoring the independence and joy of practicing medicine for doctors in the United States. Our healthcare system has burdened our doctors with too much process, while removing them from what they do best: caring for those we love most. We are a team of physicians and public health experts (Stanford, Dartmouth, Harvard, Mass. General), technologists (athenahealth, Apple, Amazon, Meta, Flatiron, WalMart Health), healthcare innovators (Oscar, Aledade, VillageMD, Stellar, Arcadia) and experienced risk management professionals (CVS/Aetna, Humana, Cigna, United, Bridgewater) who believe that primary care providers (PCPs) are the key to the United States’ future health. Pearl recently announced a strategic partnership to proliferate value-based care with Walgreens, one of the largest healthcare companies in the country. Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Viking Global Investors, AlleyCorp, and SV Angel.

Pearl Health helps PCPs who are overwhelmed by the demands of an aging population and the unpredictable business model inherent to Medicare. Over time, this solution will empower PCPs to provide better care to the country. We believe there is a need to bring humanism back to healthcare by giving physicians the ability to better allocate their time with patients, increasing their autonomy, creating incentives that are aligned with achieving better outcomes through clinical decision-making powered by actionable intelligence, and making risk more available and more readily optimized through an intelligent marketplace.

The role. . .

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced, and hands-on Director of Demand Generation to design and execute marketing campaigns, and drive activities that increase brand visibility, generate leads, and help us expand our network of primary care physicians and groups across the United States. We're racing toward aggressive growth targets in the upcoming year, and this role will be pivotal as we continue to scale the business.

This is a leadership position within our marketing organization, reporting directly to our Head of Marketing. In this role, you will have a high-degree of ownership over demand generation activities from strategy to execution and will be poised to rapidly take on increasing responsibility as our team continues to grow.

  • Demand Generation Strategy: Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to create and develop our holistic demand generation strategy and multichannel campaign plans across customer segments.
  • Campaign Execution: Develop and execute on lead generation campaigns, including online and offline channels, to drive qualified leads to the sales team and support revenue growth.
  • Content Creation: Ideate on and co-develop content and assets (e.g., eBooks, guides, webinars, tools, industry reports) with others on our team to drive demand gen campaigns forward across different customer segments and funnel stages.
  • Sales Enablement: Partner with the Network Development (Sales) and Marketing teams to integrate marketing campaigns with sales outreach and key activities. Create enablement content to amplify campaign effectiveness and set cross-functional partners up for success in the field.
  • In-Person Events & Experiential Marketing: Own the budgeting, planning, logistics, and execution of our events strategy, including event attendance for our cross-functional team (e.g. conferences), and Pearl-hosted demand generation events and brand experiences (e.g. dinners, special events, experiential brand experiences).Webinars & Virtual Events: Create and maintain our webinar and virtual event calendar and drive these forward from strategy to execution, including campaign design, demand generation, content creation (in collaboration with partners), enablement for participants, day-of technical execution, and retrospective campaigning.
  • Brand & Thought Leadership Campaigns: Collaborate with other team members to create integrated thought leadership campaigns and brand experiences that increase awareness and interest at the top of the funnel.
  • Channel Expansion: Explore new acquisition channels and tactics, developing business cases for new paid acquisition channels, designing campaigns, and testing into new ways to generate high-quality leads.
  • Demand Generation Tooling & Vendor Management: Collaborate with Marketing Operations to identify new vendors to take our demand generation efforts to the next level, develop business cases with detailed proposals, and manage relationships with external vendors, including but not limited to vendors for data, insights, tooling, and paid channels.
  • Lead Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Marketing Operations and other cross-functional stakeholders to refine processes for engaging with leads and tracking their progress through the marketing & sales funnel.
  • Campaign Attribution & Reporting: Collaborate with Marketing Operations and other cross-functional stakeholders to provide clear campaign reporting and attribution, detailed insights across channels, ROI analyses, and how we are tracking against goals.

Who you are…

  • 5 years of B2B growth marketing or demand generation experience in the SaaS space spanning email marketing, field and event marketing, direct mail, content syndication, SEO, PPC, Social, Display, programmatic and retargeting.
  • A deep sense of ownership, strong bias toward action, and the ability to lead your team to become experts at rapidly testing and scaling acquisition tactics and channels.
  • Experience managing and executing complex projects, meeting deadlines and handling several projects at a time with a high attention to detail. We’re very serious about meeting our commitments!
  • Experience ideating on, creating, and using high-quality content to drive pipeline and new business through owned channels.
  • Experience with Marketing Technology tools and systems like Hubspot, Google Analytics, and Wordpress among others. Expert in Email Marketing, Event Marketing, Analytics, Paid Marketing, Social Media, and Search Marketing.
  • A love of analytics and a proven track record of using data to find and scale profitable acquisition channels. You’re a marketing leader who is comfortable in spreadsheets!
  • Intellectual curiosity with willingness and ability to learn quickly about the nuances and complexities of the healthcare industry’s transition to value-based care. Attention to detail and willingness to get into the weeds of specific value-based care programs, pricing and packaging mechanics, and customer offerings.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
