PDQ Skilled Trades is now hiring a Brake Press Operator for our client that designs and manufactures commercial duty carrying cases for any kind of transportation including: military, airlines, and educational facilities, manufacturers of electronics and hazardous materials. They specialize in anodized aluminum, mil-spec and molded watertight plastic cases.

SHIFT:

• 6:00am – 4:30pm; Monday – Thursday
• Must able to work overtime on Fridays when needed.

PAY:

• Up to $28.00/per hour **Depending on experience
• Paid weekly

SUMMARY:
To manage all functions/aspects of running a brake press, following job specifications and instructions provided from the set-up of the machine, testing, QC, to project completion. This is a climate-controlled facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must have experience with brake press.
• Responsible for machine/program set-up.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and challenges.
• Must be able to follow job specifications/travelers, and interpret direction details.
• Must be able to take direction while also self-guide work tasks.
• Responsible for initial QC of finished parts to ensure quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years applicable brake press experience.
• Metal manufacturing/fabrication background.
• CNC and/or welding experience, a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blue prints, drawing and/or schematics.
• Intermediate knowledge of shop mathematics.
• Exceptional attention to details is necessary.
