PDQ STAFFING is Hiring a Billing Specialist (FT) Near Carrollton, TX
Shift available: Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. 9:30-6:30pm (Overtime till 7pm)
$20 per hour.
Job Summary: Primary responsibilities are invoicing, collecting, and recording cash, checks, and credit card payments to appropriate customer accounts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create accurate invoices.
- Collect payment from walk-ins and delivery drivers.
- Respond to phone calls from customers wanting to make payments to their accounts. Accurately record all transactions.
- Document all customer discrepancies and/or account issues in Syspro.
- Close register at the end of the day.
- Answer main line phone calls and distribute to appropriate departments.
- Distribute payroll checks.
- Check-in delivery drivers, collecting and recording all payments.
- Audit manifests.
- Accurately process credit card payments and conduct a check verification according to policy.
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must be able to complete data entry tasks with accuracy.
- Ability to accurately perform basic math functions.
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate verbally and in writing, in English.
- Heavy customer service skills, able to quickly assess and respond to customer calls.
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations, in a very busy environment.
- Must be organized with great attention to detail and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multi-task, completing tasks accurately and courteously.
- Strong telephone skills.
- Ability to know when to resolve an issue and when it should be escalated to the manager.
- Familiarity with payment terms.
- Experience using Syspro a plus.
