PCS Wireless is the global leader in the secondary mobile device industry, with revenues in excess of $1BN. PCS resells new and refurbished mobile products to retailers, etailers, wholesalers, operators, insurers, and distributors globally.

We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Manager to enable the business to operate efficiently and furnish customers with the growing demand for pre-owned high-technology products while reducing the carbon footprint across the US market.

Job Responsibilities

• Represent the IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security organization reporting to the Global VP.
• Provide for a modern, functional, and stable IT operations platform.
• Develop the IT systems and infrastructure that best meets the needs of a fast-moving and growing commercial organization.
• Act as the focal point for all Security, (physical & software) and Surveillance systems operating within our facilities, to safeguard PCS locations and business interests.
• Cooperate and interface with all management & colleagues across the US business.
• Monitor all IT activity and pro-actively suggest ways for improvement and enhancement to both IT applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with all other IT management functions within USA to ensure consistency and availability of IT operations.
• Keep abreast of all new IT developments to ensure that the company remains competitive and technically competent in support of business operations.
• Recommend new IT practices that can improve the management, coordination and delivery of the solutions created.
• Understand the needs of the business and translate them into IT priorities, architecture flexibility, and fitness for purpose.
• Build interfaces to connect to other systems, organizations, and partners where necessary.

Experience and Education:

• Minimum of 3 years IT management experience
• Experience within the mobile device or high-technology industry sector - PREFERRED.
• Successful track record of achievement and delivery of IT systems within a fast-moving and growing high-technology sector.
• Knowledge of Security & Surveillance systems.
• Single-minded in ensuring the provision of IT systems is realized with maximum uptime.
• Solid relationship skills to be the primary point of call for all IT services.
• Ambitious, with a strong desire to grow and develop IT Support systems.
• Prepared to travel and conduct work throughout US Locations as required.

Other Skills & Abilities:

• Technical knowledge and practical track record of successfully supporting an MS Office 365 environment within a fast-moving and dynamic business structure.
• Knowledge of Azure, Netsuite & Firewall management would also be a distinct advantage.
• Ability to work with initiative and excel in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
• Proven ability to successfully provide a high level of IT Support is essential.
• Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Windows & Office products is essential.
• Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal is required.
• Organized and structured in managing priorities and meeting set goals is essential.
• This role will best suit a Manager who is capable of rolling up their sleeves in taking practical action to resolve day-to-day issues while working towards the achievement of strategic global & regional objectives. This is not a role for an ‘armchair manager’.
