Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and recording medical notes.
- Draw blood
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with patient positioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional patient service and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic medical procedures
- Proficient in medication administration techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic life support certification preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
