• Under direct clinical oversight, fully and accurately document the patient's care in the EHR in accordance with federal, state, local accreditation requirements and in compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.

• Accompany the provider during the performance of clinical patient services
• Record verbatim the services and observations of the provider without applying any clinical insight or interpretation
• Accurately reflect the service provided on the specific date of the patient’ s service
• Notify the provider of any EHR triggered alerts; all alerts must be addressed by the provider .
• Include attestation on the scribed note that clearly provides the name of the medical scribe, their role ( i.e.scribe ), the provider of the service, and that the provider has reviewed and agrees with the documentation.
• Authenticate the scribed note by personally signing, along with the date and time and forward to the provider
• Assist the providers in navigating the EHR
• Locate prior notes, labs, or imaging for the provider to review
• Create reminders for the provider through Message Center

• Completion of Medical Terminology Course

• E xperience in Oncology preferred .

Ability to work independently

Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills including, Word, Excel and willing to learn other programs as needed

Excellent organizational and customer service, communication and critical thinking skills

Must be dedicated to self-learning
