Location

PayJunction takes a Flex First approach to work environments. This means that our team members can choose to work from our Santa Barbara office or remotely from home. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy, including market research, target audience identification, and product roadmap planning.
  • Curate, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Lead a high-performing product team by recruiting, hiring, managing, and providing ongoing training and development.
  • Measure and report on product performance through established KPIs and regular reports to senior management.
  • Monitor Product Adoption Rate, Revenue, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Churn Rate, Development Velocity, and other relevant metrics.
  • Manage time to market, backlog growth, and customer support tickets related to product issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support for seamless product execution.
  • Develop effective pricing strategies and packaging for products, maintaining competitive pricing while ensuring profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing for product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies to drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Ensure product compliance with regulatory and industry requirements (e.g., PCI, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST-CSF).
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products for innovation and differentiation.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, conduct market research, and leverage insights to inform product decisions and improvements.
  • Lead the creation and execution of strategic plans and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Regularly assess and refine the strategic plan to adapt to changing market dynamics and business priorities.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including feature introduction and retirement.
  • Present product performance and updates to key stakeholders on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Product Management Leadership role, with a strong track record of strategic product leadership.
  • Experience working in the SaaS or payments/fintech sector for over 5 years, with a portion of that experience ideally at the Director or VP level.
  • Proven experience in companies with over 100 employees, demonstrating an ability to build and lead multiple teams with diverse functions, including: Product Managers, Product Owners, Product Designers, Product Analysts or Data Analysts, Technical Product Managers, and Product Marketing Managers.
  • Proficiency in Figma to guide design strategy, review product mock-ups and prototypes, and ensure designs align with brand guidelines and overall product vision.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies with experience using Jira to oversee project timelines. 
  • Proven ability to review and approve user stories, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Proficiency in roadmapping tools such as Aha!, ProductBoard, or Roadmunk.
  • Familiarity with analytics and data visualization tools like Splunk and Google Analytics.
  • Preferred, though not required: MBA or continued education in a relevant field.
  • Strongly preferred: Product Management Certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a PE (Private Equity) owned company.

The base salary range for this role is $150-$200k/year plus benefits. Actual base salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location, education, experience, skills and qualifications.
