Vice President of Construction is the cornerstone of the mentorship program for each region of Pavilion Construction. The VPoC is the senior most ranked employee at region offices, a critical role model, a proven problem solver, and an effective leader. He or she is a skilled, experienced and empowered leader that our project management teams look to for guidance. The VPoC is aware, available and engaged in the business interests of Pavilion Construction and understands that the Pavilion brand is dependent upon the quality and ongoing development of the personnel in their region.
VPoC is responsible for assigning appropriate teams to each project, periodically assessing staff strengths and weaknesses and achieving continuous, measurable improvement of staff's interpersonal, professional and technical skills. Great teams are essential to great results. In addition to personnel manage, the VPoC operations experience can recognize construction process anomalies, intervene and an assist his teams when necessary.
VPoC is a seasoned and capable project manager demonstrating the capacity to manage multiple projects and staff concurrently: constantly monitoring company profitability and schedule; influencing changes that improve bottom line performance, brand reputation, and client experience. He or she is a substantial resource of technical, strategic and procedural insight; recruiting construction professionals to the company and developing teams in a scalable fashion. Qualifications for this position include:
Can demonstrate 8 years' experience working on multi-family/senior housing/hospitality projects.
Demonstrate 5 years of performing the function of project manager, or equivalent.
Demonstrate a lead role in managing projects more than $15MM.
Are competent in using MS Office Suite, any online estimating software and any proprietary accounting software programs.
Can demonstrate leadership positions in your professional (association, otherwise), personal, or civic roles.
Have completed 4 years of post-graduate education (journeyman, trade school, college, etc.).
Have 3 positive and supportive client references for whom you have worked for in the past 5 years.
