Manager Job Description:
Pathlight Community Services, an established and well regarded provider of Specialized Licensed Adult Foster Care direct care services throughout Southeast Michigan, is seeking to hire an experienced Manager to supervise our licensed specialized residential small group home facility in Ann Arbor. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team that offers those we serve with developmental disabilities compassionate and quality care. Looking to hire an individual with a minimum of a year experience along with knowledge of the rules and regulations of licensing along with CMH policies and procedures.
General Summary This position will be supervised by the District Manager and Area Supervisor and will: (Full Job description can be reviewed at interview upon request)
1) Facilitate the implementation of all in-house programming and safety procedures as directed by the C.L.F. Program.
2) Monitor and assist residents in all areas of socialization.
3) Facilitate the implementation of resident’s individual treatment plan.
4) Assure the proper and thorough training of subordinate employees maintaining ongoing, up to date training in accordance with state regulation, community mental health and company policy.
Objectives of this Role
1) In addition to assisting and supervising the responsibilities and job performance of all staff and positions, the Manager is responsible for the safety and security of the home and residents.
2) Assure implementation of daily program goals assisting staff and residents in all areas necessary in the development of the resident’s treatment plan.
3) Supervise and coordinate a continuum of care for the residents with staff, supervisor and Mental Health Agency.
Qualification necessary for the position
1. Must be able to complete required reports and follow written and oral instructions that are related to the care and supervision of residents.
2. A high school diploma or general education diploma or equivalent.
3. Must be suitable to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of each resident.
4. Must be capable of handling emergency situations.
5. Before performing assigned tasks, must be competent in all of the following areas: a. Reporting requirements b. First Aid c. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation d. Personal care, supervision and protection e. Resident rights f. Safety and fire prevention g. Prevention and containment of communicable diseases
6. Must be in such physical and mental health so as not to negatively affect either the health of the resident or the quality of his/her care.
