Patchington is Hiring an Office Manager/Bookkeeper Near Clearwater, FL

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team. Patchington is a retail operation that has been in business for over 40 years. The Office Manager/Bookkeeper will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office and ensuring efficient administrative processes in addition to assisting our finance team with bookkeeping duties.. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities:

Office Management:

- Coordinate office events and meetings, take meeting notes
- Maintain phone systems
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Maintain an organized office environment and ensure supplies are stocked
- Manage vendor relationships
- Serve as the main point of contact for office-related inquiries and issues
- Coordinate office events and meetings, take meeting notes
- Miscellaneous projects

Bookkeeping:

- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting journal entries, ensuring adherence to legal and accounting standards
- Maintains chart of accounts and documenting accounting policies and procedures
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling accounts
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and identifying trends
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal/tax/reporting requirements. File monthly sales tax return
- Assists with special projects and assignments as needed.

Experience:

- Proven experience in office management/bookkeeping or a similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting or finance.
- Bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Office management/admin experience
- QuickBooks experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation
- Highly analytical
- Attention to detail/thoroughness
- Confidentiality
