Clinic Medical Assistants/Front Office staff have a vital role as the focal point in the clinic since this team has an immediate impact on our patients. They are in charge of greeting patients, and managing the telephone, scheduling appointments, collecting information, and clinical patient intake duties such as taking vitals and ensuring that exam rooms are prepped and ready to go. They must be organized and efficient to oversee and execute everyday administrative tasks to ensure that the clinic runs smoothly and successfully. This includes patient record keeping and maintaining inventory levels.
This position has a significant level of responsibility assisting Doctors and Nurses in providing care to their patients. Their primary duties and responsibilities typically include:
· Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
· Answer and direct phone calls, take messages and provide information to callers
· Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
· Insurance verification and process patient payments
· Patient record keeping; performs data entry in EMR (eClinicalworks)
· Clean and prepare exam rooms
· Patient intake, prepare patient for examination and procedures, measure and record vital signs, assist physicians with exams, and administer injections or medications as directed by the physician
· Record and update medical history
· Perform basic lab tests and EKGs
· Assist with project coordination as needed
· Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and events
· Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
· Order medical and office supplies, generate inventory records
· Maintain medical and staff records
· Liaise with doctors and practice administrator to identify potential office dysfunction
· Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
· Perform general administrative tasks such as handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, filing, photocopying, and updating reports
· Previous experience working in a medical front desk or receptionist role for a year. Bilingual preferred
· Knowledge of medical administration and familiarity with ECW EMR
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
· Strong interpersonal skills and proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
· Detailed-oriented, as they must enter all data accurately in their records so doctors and insurance companies refer to them

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
