Duties:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Assist with medical documentation, including recording patient information and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as necessary.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and tidying patient's living areas.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with hospice care for terminally ill patients.
- Provide care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification.
- Previous experience in providing personal care to individuals in a home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
