Pasadena Christian School is an independent Christian K-8 school that serves a diverse community ethnically, economically, and in the Christian faith. Together, we have served the Pasadena area for the past 77 years. Job Summary:

The Extended Care Staff has primary responsibility for providing supervision and a play experience that support’s Pasadena Christian School’s values and service.

This is a continuous applicant pool. Positions are filled on an as needed basis. As a position becomes available, you may be contacted by the hiring manager to schedule an interview.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises students during the Extended Care Program.
• Assists with the planning and implementation of on-going after school activities (i.e., check in, walkie-talkie support, crafts, cooking, games, etc.)
• Prepares and cleanup of the program and activities as needed and/or requested.
• Maintains school security procedures (i.e., supervise computer check out of students by parents or authorized individuals).
• Junior Staff (staff persons under the age of 18) work together with staff (18 and older) in supervision of students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff and parents to maintain positive relationships.
• Attendance and participation in staff meetings
• Daily/Weekly for preparing, planning, and training.
• Scheduled Staff workdays.

• Agrees with the school’s statement of faith and the purpose and goals of PCS in providing an integrated Christian education.

Technologies:

• Proficient in Google Apps., and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Compensation:

The hourly compensation for this role is $16.93 to $18.04. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to salary, PCS offers a generous benefits package including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision benefit plans for eligible employees.
