Job Summary:

The Educational Assistant (Classroom Aide) has primary responsibility for serving within the classroom to support the needs of the teacher and students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support to students and teachers within the classroom.
• Provides supervision to students during recess.
• Prepares teaching aides, materials, and other items for the teacher.
• Supervises small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Serves as a mandated reporter.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma

Physical, Mental, and Visual Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Able to lift, bend, grasp, reach, and lift to 20 lbs.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Able to maintain confidentiality, work in a busy environment, learn, and retain information.
• Possesses a genuine commitment to Christian service. Has initiative and creativity, is highly productive, and is flexible.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Agrees with the school’s statement of faith and the purpose and goals of PCS in providing an integrated Christian education.
• Extended times using a computer monitor and reading documents and correspondence.

Technologies:

• Proficient in Google Apps., and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Compensation:

The hourly compensation for this role is $16.93 to $18.04. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to salary, PCS offers a generous benefits package including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision benefit plans for eligible employees.
