Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:

Strategic Planning:

• Aides/assists Head of School, Assistant Head of School and Director of Preschool with employee contracts
• Assists in planning for the short-term and long-term staffing needs
• Assists with the recruitment, selection, orientation, and initial reviews
• Completes background checks

Training and Development:

• Maintains and administers mandatory staff training with Safe Schools
• Recommends additional training that may be helpful for staff
• Maintains Job Descriptions across campus

Compensation and Benefits packages

• Negotiates maintains and advises the schools’ health benefits
• Maintains and advises Head of School and Director of Preschool the salary range
• Researches and advises additional benefits to Head of School
• Worker’s Compensation coordinator

School Policies

• Informs new hires and current employees of the school policies and procedures
• Maintains policy acknowledgment forms
• Stays informed of the changing labor laws and requirements
• Maintains compliance poster across campus

Personnel Files

• Establishes and maintains employee files
• Maintains and updates all government forms for proper compliance
• Maintains the FDLE background checks
• Completes employment verification requests

Payroll for Parkway Christian Church, Preschool, Elementary and Middle Schools

• Process, record, verify and transmit all payroll data to the external payroll processing company.
• Verify payroll and submit pay checks for authorized signature.
• Disburse payroll checks to appropriate directors or administrators as required.
• Record payroll expense, taxes and fees in Power Church.
• Maintain and record Preschool, Elementary and Middle school staff attendance records.
• Maintain Preschool, Elementary and Middle school staff personnel files.

Business Office Associate

• Aides Business Officer with salary budget for the upper school and preschool staff
• Supports the Business Officer and other duties

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or another related field (or equivalent experience)
• HR training or certification preferred
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Google Drive, Docs, sheets, and calendar
• Experience with project management is preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
• Completed and approved level 2 fingerprint background check
• State and FBI Clearance check
