**Description**

Guest Service (40%)

* Handles telephone inquiries within 2 hours.

* Daily monitoring of correspondence to clients and other departments regarding bookings.

* Up sell menu, beverage & sundry items on all functions.

* Responsible for site inspections and inside appointments.

* Greets groups and has floor presence as needed.

* Responsible for processing all VIP reservations related to their events according to standards.

Sales Tasks (25%)

* Makes outside maintenance, cold solicitation, new prospect calls and new lead follow up, as outlined in action plan.

* Services approximately 10% Sales Department bookings.

* Responsible for processing deposits, prepayments and credit applications, signed contracts and signed BEO's.

* Responsible for qualifying all business to maximize profit potential.

Accounts follow up tasks (10%)

* Maintains and ensures that all accounts are properly rated, solicited and traced via Delphi.

* Responsible for submitting Banquet Event Orders as per standard schedule.

* Submits weekly phone call, lost business, and booking reports via Delphi.

Liaison Tasks (10%)

* Constant communication with Banquet Sales Coordinator regarding information for distribution on bookings.

* Accountable for knowledge of all items "available for sale" by Banquet department.

* Attends weekly Sales meeting.

Team Support (10%)

* Aids Director in creating and developing special promotions, projects, and theme events menu enhancements.

* Participates in Saturday office coverage as assigned by rotation.

* Attends all training programs as directed by Director of Catering and Human Resources.

Reporting Tasks (5%)

* Completes and submits monthly reports on activity.

* Surveys reader board information of competing hotels twice per week.

* Submits monthly and annual action steps for approval and executes accordingly.

**Qualifications:**

Essential:

* Two years experience in Banquet Sales with service and operations background and/or a combination of education and experience that will provide the skills required for this position.

* Fluency in English.

Desirable:

* Hotel/ Restaurant degree preferred with additional food and wine exposure.
