Position Summary:

The HR Generalist, with supervision, coordinates and administers HR programs across the span of HR areas for the Akron, OH location.

Essential Functions:

  • Interfaces with functional and operational leaders on openings
  • Reviews resumes and creates candidate pools
  • Supports interview and selection process
  • Partners with functional and operational leaders to complete performance management and talent management cycle
  • Administer routine local training
  • Coordination of corporate sponsored training
  • Support managers in routine development planning
  • Address complex questions by managers and team members
  • Responsible for team member grievances
  • Address questions on compensation and benefits
  • Conduct reporting and analytics as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a mfg/engineering environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence and engage at all levels of the business
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects and drive change
  • Strong coaching skills
