Park Avenue Oyster Bar & Grill is Hiring a LINE COOK Near Aiken, SC

Park Avenue Oyster Bar & Grill is looking for a professional Line Cook to join our team under the direction of our Executive Chef.
This is a great opportunity for those that are passionate about hospitality and looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will be working under and learning from a seasoned and successful chef as well as being a part of our emerging culinary team. To ensure success, the right candidate will have a positive attitude, desire to learn new skills, patience, the ability to take direction, be a self-starter, and the capacity to work calmly in a high-pressure environment. Top candidates are creative individuals with a passion for great food and excellent service.
Responsibilities
  • Setting up cook stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies
  • Preparing food on the line, as needed, by cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces
  • Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sauteing, and broiling to quality guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards (like creating and following a restaurant cleaning checklist) that comply with state and local food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Handling and storing food safely and properly
  • Takes inventory counts before and after shifts, completes food inventory or storage sheets
  • Ability to work on weekends, stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to effectively cook and present all items on the menu in a timely manner
  • Exercising good organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with all members of the FOH and BOH staff
