Paradise Valley Country Club is seeking a dedicated Golf Shop Assistant / Merchandise Assistant. Our Club offers an inviting and comfortable lifestyle for our Members and their families. As a traditional, invitation-only Club, we are committed to providing a unique and exquisite experience. The Golf Shop Assistant / Merchandise Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring a high level of customer service and maintaining the Golf Shop's merchandise and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Provide consistent, high-quality customer service to Club Members and their guests.
• Cover the Golf Shop counter and assist with tournament operations when needed.
• Perform Golf Shop administrative duties, including opening and closing procedures, answering phone calls, and scheduling tee times and lessons

Merchandise Management:

• Keep storage rooms neat and organized.
• Assist with merchandise flow, from delivery to display on the shop floor.
• Unpack shipments, receive them into the Point of Sale (POS) system, price items, and create/assist with merchandise displays.
• Maintain superior visual merchandising displays and uphold daily display standards.

Inventory Management:

• Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained in the Golf Shop.
• Place fill-in stock orders with approval from the Merchandise Manager.
• Manage and oversee the soft-good special order book and procedure, including placing, monitoring, and follow-through with special orders.

Uniforms and Inventory:

• Assist in the ordering, organizing, distributing, and maintaining club uniforms.
• Participate in running smooth and accurate inventories at the end of each month.

Club Rules and Policies:

• Understand and enforce club rules and policies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of golf or interest in golf is a plus.

Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, holidays, and weekends.
• Availability to work 30-35 hours per week.
