Job Description
Work arrangement:
- Onsite
- W2 position; 12 months
- The Accountant II provides services in the area of high risk assets and participation loans for those associations subscribing to the bank's optional loan accounting functions.
- On the client's behalf, you will perform the actual processing of DNA and General Ledger transactions.
- Ensures that all loan and accounting records are properly maintained, and that procedures and internal controls are followed.
- Provide daily support of high risk accounting for subscribing associations.
- Prepare worksheets and processing of loan and general ledger transactions for activity.
- Review selected reconcilement reports and take corrective actions as needed to clear any reconciling item daily
- Process new sales, and monitor the sold loans to ensure that the record is in sync with the parent loan
- Provide support for monthly and quarterly reporting for high-risk asset
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and other customized software
- Minimum of three (3) years of Accounting experience
- Knowledge of bank operations and regulations
- Understands and adheres to GAAP
