PacWest Machinery is recruiting for a Used Equipment Manager. We are seeking an experienced individual who takes pride in their work and who will enjoy the challenge of leading the Company’s used equipment business and being an integral part of the Company’s senior team. The successful candidate will be based in either the Seattle, Spokane or Portland branch locations.

PacWest Machinery provides a competitive line-up of construction, forestry, road, compact and aggregate processing equipment from well-known companies including Volvo Construction, Metso, Ponsse, Yanmar, Atlas Copco and others.

The company delivers comprehensive sales, rental, leasing, parts and service support in Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho. The successful applicant will support the Company by fulfilling these job responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all used equipment inventory including the knowledge to appropriately establish the trade-in values used during the sale of new equipment.
• Support an increase in Company profits by selectively purchasing used equipment to augment inventory needs of the Company.
• Directly sell certain machines outside the Company’s primary territory to outlets developed and maintained by the Used Equipment Manager.
• Overall responsibility for the profitability of the used equipment activities within the Company.
• Collaborate with the Company’s regional managers who are responsible for local branch operations including sales, service and profit performance.
• Manage the acquisition and disposition of the Company’s truck fleet.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications - the ideal candidate will possess the following:

· Knowledge of a wide range of general production equipment, aggregate and timber processing machinery, road construction equipment and supporting machinery,

· Ability and willingness to travel and work hours required by the job and customer demands

· Strong interpersonal skills and strong communication capabilities,

· Team player with an orientation towards responsive support,

· Capabilities in the use of software such as Microsoft Office, management dashboards and dealer information systems.

· Strong references from former employers and colleagues,

· Extensive qualifications in certain categories may help to offset a lack of experience in other areas.
