**Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled CPT1 licensed Phlebotomist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for medical testing while maintaining all QC records in accordance to COLA Standards.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients for blood collection.
- Label, process, and deliver specimens for testing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow proper patient identification procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort during the blood drawing process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control policies.
-Adheres to professional standards, institutional policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and HIPAA
**Skills:**
- Proficient in patient care techniques.
- Knowledge of specimen collection processing.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
- Skill in phlebotomizing adult patients with comorbidities.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Experience working in clinical laboratory or hospital setting.
