Pace Transportation Services is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Center, MI
Description
- Preparing and maintaining financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assisting with preparation of financial statements and reports, set up and input of data into monthly financials. Review and analyze financial data for accuracy and completeness. Finalize and distribute month-end financials.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintaining fixed asset system, adds, disposals and reconciliation.
- Book monthly equipment sales and calculate commissions.
- Prepare weekly and biweekly payroll entries.
- Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Assisting with analysis and projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Two or more years of experience
- Microsoft Office and Excel experience
- Experience with Karmak or other ERP Systems is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable learning new software and working with various technology tools
- Ability to work independently on tasks and collaborate with a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to lift/carry 15lbs.
- Must be able to sit and focus on a computer for long periods of time.
