Summary The position provides general oversight and support for Pace's HRIS and Compensation systems. Ensures that the HRIS system is up and running smoothly, that all users are trained thoroughly, and that the system is doing all that it is intended to do. This position ensures the company is maximizing the utilization of the system from performance reviews, compensation, position changes, reporting, etc. Projects can include installing, creating, customizing, and implementing new applications or maintenance and improvement of existing applications within the HR function. The position reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to…) Maintains systems that support Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including but not limited to Workday, Dayforce, and others as needed. This includes learning the systems to enable administration, customizing, trouble shooting, data entry and retrieval, reporting, etc. Designs, develops and implements training through a variety of means including documentation, on-line, mobile and instructor-led training (ILT). Assesses and analyzes various HRIS system databases to determine potential use of collected data. Works to connect various systems' information together through the use and maintenance of API/imports to share and use the collected data effectively and efficiently. Leads the implementation of HRIS systems and upgrades. Acts as liaison to Pace IT, internal or external vendors, stakeholders, or other groups as determined to support solutions. Liaison to all company stakeholders during the execution of HR performance and job designation processes. Assists with, implements, and analyzes needs assessments results for HR, and T&D initiatives that enhance employee performance in achieving productivity and quality targets for the company. Partners in strategic discussions and decisions to further Pace HRIS learning and OD goals. Becomes part of the strategic planning process.. Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and Company objectives; coordinates implementation and provide guidance to staff. Provide thought leadership on trends and/or opportunities from a Compensation perspective to continue to maintain competitiveness through innovative strategies. Keep apprised of federal, state, and local compensation impacting laws and regulations to ensure Company compliance, providing updates for Senior Leadership. Provide advice and consult with Human Resources and Management teams on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, market pricing/job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation related programs. Partner with Accounting, Finance, HR, Operations and Legal teams to provide support, communication and accurate information as required or requested related to Compensation practices or new/existing programs. Lead the annual company annual increases process including modeling, auditing, analyzing, and calculation of data as well as communication to ensure budgetary measures are followed. Manage the tracking of variable pay plans performance against defined metrics, evaluating effectiveness, and providing suggestions/analysis as needed. Lead initiatives related to equity compensation ensuring appropriateness and creation of and/or amendments to plan, participants and design. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 8 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Considerable responsibility about general assignments in planning time, method, manner, and/or sequence of performance of own work, in addition, the work operations of a group of employees, all performing basically the same type of work. Must have experience working in a multi-unit/multi-state organization. Skills: Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from production associates to senior leaders. Ability to function as a team player and be comfortable leading without authority. Ability to build credibility and trust. Ability to influence leaders and change their paradigms.
