P&E Mechanical Contractors, LLC is Hiring a Project Manager/Estimator Near Woodway, TX

P&E Mechanical Contractors, LLC is a family run HVAC/commercial plumbing business continuing to grow our market share in central Texas. We strive to provide a rewarding work environment and experience for our all employees.

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager for our HVAC/Plumbing divison in the central Texas area. You will be responsible for managing the financial performance and the timely execution of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects as well as partnering with estimators, operations managers, foremen and outside general contractors and vendors. Potential candidates must be well organized, hands-on, self-motivated and dependable with the drive to succeed in a challenging and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities: Manage all phases of a project from conception through installation to final commissioning

  • Plan and execute project budgets including all costs for labor, materials and equipment creating a detailed cost forecast
  • Develop schedules and assign resources
  • Track progress against milestones and communicate issues
  • Manage change orders and scope changes
  • Provide cost estimates at certain milestones in the project life cycle
  • Develop and manage project estimates
  • Ensure that all assgnments are completed on time and within budget
  • Work with team members to identify requirements
  • Develop scope statements and estimates for new projects
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with clients
  • Development of sub-contractor scope of work documentation.
  • Materials specification, ordering, tracking, and installation support.
  • Schedule and manage start-up, installation, and commissioning.
  • Responsible for all project related and customer required documentation
  • Oversee and manage the change order process of the project
  • Manage project closeout to completion
  • Manage multiple projects, plan, and coordinate field construction teams and schedules
  • Organize labor, equipment, materials, etc per project schedules
  • Follow scope of contract for projects and monitor budgets and schedules
  • Initiate purchase orders for material/equipment
  • Track project costs of materials, equipment, labor, subs, etc.
  • Coordinate work with other trades when necessary
  • Attends job site meetings
  • Assist with monitoring and communicating safety standards
  • Ensure project is constructed in accordance with design specifications
  • Organize and submit submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings

Qualification:

  • Should have at least 2 years of project manager experience
  • Financial tracking skills to create timelines and decisions on scope, schedule, and budget
  • Commercial Mechanical Construction Experience and understanding of the corporate industry practices
  • Must be highly motivated, well presented, and personable
  • Works well on own or in a team environment
  • The ability to prepare and monitor reports - work progress, costs, and scheduling
  • Advanced understanding of layout, design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Proficient with construction scheduling software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize work assignments
