Overview

Oxford Athletic Club is the most extensive private health and fitness club in the Pittsburgh area and is nationally recognized by International Health, Racquet, and Sports Associations (IHRSA) for excellence.

We are currently looking for a full-time or part-time Housekeeping Supervisor, who can keep our facility clean, organized, sanitary, and provide a high level of customer service to our members through personal and professional attention. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

Job Duties

• Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.
• Performing various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages.
• Works with Operations/Facilities Director in training housekeeping staff to efficiently execute all job duties as outlined in the housekeeping training manual.
• Assists with Maintenance/Facility Operations with necessary tasks as needed.
• Involved in the process of interviewing and hiring for all housekeeping positions.
• Performs administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, ordering of products, and supplies, and expense tracking. Enroll in the Manager on Duty program.
• Working Supervisor, carrying out Housekeeping responsibilities as needed.
• Assists with and promotes special events and programs to the Club Membership by keeping current with Club events, flyers, and meeting information.
• Resolves any Member issues through effective customer service skills and by referring issue to the appropriate manager. Contact Manager on Duty (MOD) if unsure of how to resolve a situation.
• Enforces current OAC Club and departmental policies by keeping current with changes and utilizing effective communication skills.
• Supports supervisors and fellow staff in providing quality programs and services to our Members as well as incorporating an atmosphere where we are constantly striving to exceed one's expectations.
• Completes all other tasks as assigned by Club Management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Weekend and evening availability is required
• Needs to be energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking, and pleasant.
• Must be able to work independently and possess an outgoing personality, as well as enjoy working as a team.
• Maintain a professional manner and appearance.
• Applicant must successfully complete all background clearances

Education and Training

*Housekeeping, maintenance, or customer service-based employment.

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification required or can be taken at the facility.
• In-house training on policies and procedure as provided by management.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Proven housekeeping or hospitality experience.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to multitask.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)

Compensation

• Full-time*

*Eligible for benefits upon meeting all requirements.
