Title: Server/Bartender

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, AM/PM

Pay Range: The pay for Server is $14.00 per hour, and the range for Bartender is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour. This is the pay for this position that Outrigger Canoe Club reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Position Summary:

As a server, you will work together with your teammates to use menu and service knowledge to provide an optimal dining experience to each member.

Core Responsibilities:

The job duties listed below are an overview of the essential duties and measures required to be successful in the position. Please note that the listed examples do not include all tasks, which may be expected within this job position.

• Thoroughly study the food and beverage menu, including the rotating chef specials
• Prepare your section before members and guests are seated
• Memorize club hours and policies
• Provide great service to your section in order to create and maintain genuine relationships with the members and their families
• Occasionally work in catering style (tip pool) for larger events and banquets
• Will abide by any and all alcohol, food, and general safety measures

Physical Demands:

• Able to stand for full 5-6 hour shift
• Able to lift 10lbs to 25lbs
• Able to work quickly in various weather conditions. (We are a fast paced, semi-outdoor restaurant)

General Requirements:

Education

• High School Degree or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in hospitality or related guest service environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be a dependable, outgoing, and self-motivated person
• Ability to multitask while remaining calm and professional
• Minimum 6 months of serving experience required, 1 year preferred
• Will need to obtain a Honolulu Liquor License and TB Clearance
• Must be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
