We are looking for a Director of Human Resources, a role that involves strategic direction and management of HR activities, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and aligning HR functions with the overall objectives of the organization.
Job Overview:
The HR Director will lead the HR department, implementing policies and programs across the organization. The role demands strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to address the needs of the employees while supporting the company's goals. The HR Director will support senior management by providing insightful, innovative solutions to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, and oversee recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce, working within the bounds of the business operating plan. 
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Alignment with Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. 
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and oversee HR policies and procedures development, implementation, and interpretation. 
  • Talent Management: Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to meet the organization's current and future needs, including workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, career development, performance management, and succession planning. 
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation, benefits, and reward systems that attract and retain top talent. Manage benefits packages and renewals. 
  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed. 
  • Training & Development: Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs. Ensure that training objectives are aligned with the company's strategic goals. 
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives that are integrated into recruitment, training, and employee engagement strategies. 
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Utilize HR metrics to inform decision-making, report on key performance indicators, and identify areas for improvement. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. 
  • Proven experience as an HR Director, HR Manager, or similar senior HR role. 
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices for a multi-state organization.
  • Experience with HR metrics and HR systems. 
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills. 
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. 
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
