Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and challenge to the first line of defense for Risk Management functions, including fraud management, disputes processing, underwriting, portfolio management, and other risk mitigation strategies.
Build and implement a framework that detects when execution of business rules in the platform is not matching intent to mitigate exposure and ensure operations
Collaborate across Operations functions to ensure alignment of secured lending risk management with overall risk management strategy
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in secured lending and credit risk management
Provide guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders on secured lending risk management matters
Win across data-driven insights, domain expertise, holistic view on risks, and participate in effective challenge of 1LOD Credit - implementing and managing governance frameworks across the various product lines - PL, SL, Cards, and Secured Lending
Ensure emerging risks are identified and highlighted to senior management. Prepares executive summaries, periodic reports, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Recommends policy and procedural changes to correct deficiencies identified by the monitoring framework.
Work with Operations leaders to identify gaps in system/operations process flows ensuring alignment of strategy/intent, execution, policies, state legalities, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
7-10 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on secured lending
Strong knowledge of payments and lending products
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
