OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial marketplaces, is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our IT Infrastructure Department for a paid internship this summer. This position is scheduled to start on June 17, 2024, and terminate on August 16, 2024.

Please note OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze, organize, and convert raw data into useful information and insights for the business.
• Gain knowledge of trading database systems and create data dictionaries.
• Collaborate with the database team to research, evaluate and test data storage & data visualization technologies.
• Analyze and profile data in databases to assist with data quality initiatives.
• Evaluate and document data analysis tools for use by business users/analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Passionate about working with data and data related technologies.
• Familiarity with database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL etc.)
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL and/or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Background or interest in Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science or a related field.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

This is a paid opportunity: $25/hour.
